This Year’s Summer Essentials From Typology Paris.

AD – This post contains PR Products.

If you’ve read my blog for a while then you’ll know that I absolutely love the warm weather but that it does mess with my skin. I wear sunscreen all year round but many, many people don’t and it’s so painful to see everyone get sunburn in the summer! I’m always that person who has sunscreen with me and offers it around to everyone.

Typology Paris has very kindly sent me over their new SPF (alongside some other goodies which I’ll talk about further down this post). Their SPF 30 Face Sunscreen contains Aloe Vera and also is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid. It has a lightweight texture, leaves no white cast and isn’t shiny or sticky.

Sunscreen should be applied as the last step in your skincare routine and should also be at least 30 minutes before sun exposure. You should also reapply every 2 hours to keep yourself protected.

What I really like is there is tons of really important and helpful information on Typology’s website about sunscreens and how to wear them. I think it’s always good to be informed about these things and education is so important.

I have used this SPF a handful of times so far as with any new product, I trial it to see whether it is compatible with my skin. Thankfully this product does seem to get on with my skin. I haven’t actually worn make up with it yet but most sunscreens will give you a dewy finish, which I actually really like.

This SPF has got a very light fragrance which for me, was absolutely fine but I know that people with really sensitive skin might find this tricky. It has got 83% naturally derived ingredients. What I like about this SPF is that it comes out a light cream, sinks into your skin fast and then leaves a very silky feeling. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling or looking dewy but it doesn’t leave it totally matte either so this might be a really good option if you’re after something very natural.

I will be trialling this SPF for a little while longer as I don’t want to give my opinion too soon but I’m very impressed with it. I think first impressions always count when it comes to products like this and mine are really positive. The only thing I will say is that I do actually like a sunscreen that has a slightly higher SPF rating – SPF30 is a bit low for me to apply on my face even with regular top-ups. Potentially just something to keep in mind when you’re buying SPF.

So, alongside this SPF, I was very lucky to receive two of their Antioxidant Botanical Face Mists – One with organic Green Tea and another with Organic Rose Geranium. Both of these Facial mists are enriched with antioxidant active ingredients, working to revive the complexion’s radiance and protect the skin as well as stimulating collagen synthesis, for firmer and more elastic skin.

I pretty much used these mists as soon as I opened the box! Funnily enough, I wanted to add more moisture to my skin throughout the day and facial mists are a great way to do this – these arrived just in time! They’re both very light and hydrating. The mist is very fine and you only need a few sprays to give your skin a boost during the day. You can also use them as part of your normal routine, such as a toner or instead of moisturiser (depending on your skin/its needs).

I’m really happy using these mists, they’re so handy when it comes to travelling and will be perfect for summer. I love little additional skincare boosts such as these.

Let me know what SPF you use everyday and if you’d use a facial mist?!
