February is always such a lovely month as there are so many things to celebrate (like Pancake Day). It’s truly a month that always feels like a little ray of light after the dullness of January. There’s also a very loved & hated day fast approaching; Valentine’s Day.
Now, Elliot and I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day all that much. We will probably just do what we do most weekend which is watching 86581 episodes of The Office on the sofa with a takeaway. Sounds like a dreamy way to spend an evening to me but if you did want to do something special, Nivea has got you covered.
I love the fact that Valentine’s Day doesn’t just have to be for the couples anymore. It’s such a lovely day to just show someone how much you care! No matter who it is, your mum, best mate or neighbour, it’s nice to show a little bit of love sometimes. Something which is especially important now in these weird times.
It’s of course, something you can do virtually too! Something I’m sure many people will be doing at the moment. Isn’t technology amazing that it can bring us together when we can be miles apart?!
Whether you’re in a couple or just wanted to have a virtual pamper night with your besties, Nivea have got so many products which are perfect for a night in.
I very kindly have a wonderful little bundle featuring some new products from Nivea which are perfect for a Sunday night, Galentine’s pamper.
Included in my package was their Pore Purifying Refining Daily Wash, Q10 Energy Sheet Mask, Q10 Plus C Anti-Wrinkle Skin Sleep Cream and also their Caring Scrub With Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. All the products you need for a little pamper night!
The Pore Purifying Wash looks really interesting, it refines your complexion, deeply cleanses and is also Anti-Bacterial (needed!). It’s meant to be really mild and gentle too and looks like the perfect daily facial wash.
I also love the look of their Caring Scrub, I’ve not used a lip scrub like this before. It feels really soothing and hydrating. It contains naturally occurring exfoliating particles which are really gentle but scrubby enough to exfoliate your lips.
The brilliant thing about this lip scrub is that you don’t have to wipe it away after use. Instead, just rub your lips together and you should notice the particles disappear! I have used this scrub already and it is lovely, it left my lips feeling really smooth. The perfect thing to introduce into your evening (or morning) routine!
Some ideas for a fun Galentine’s night with your girls include:
01. A Quiz! During the first lockdown, these seemed to happen every night. However, I think everyone got a bit bored of them after a while… but they’re so fun! You can really personalize the quiz to you and your friend group too – guessing who is in old baby photos or having each round hosted by a different person!
02. A Spa Night! There’s nothing like having a good old pamper – doing this virtually via zoom is fun too. Even just FaceTiming and painting your nails together can be lovely but why not go the whole hog! I can recommend a good old sheet mask to use too! This would definitely be the route that I’d go down this Sunday, I do love a bit of self-care!
03. Movie Night! It’s a good thing that Mean Girls has just arrived on Netflix… what a classic film to watch with your besties! Netflix has their own “Netflix Party” too, making watching a film with your friends easier than ever.
Obviously, wine and snacks have to be involved, whatever your plans are…
There are truly loads of different ways to spend Galentine’s Day so I hope you have a fab time. I hope the above list gave you some inspiration if you were struggling with ideas!
It’s important to make the most of times like this and show people that you care! What are your Valentine’s/Galentine’s Plans?
