I have to admit, that it has been a little while since I was sent these products (two months maybe?!) and I have been meaning to share this post for a while, but life sometimes gets in the way doesn’t it. However I really wanted to share my thoughts about this brand, so better late than never, right?
Freshly Cosmetics are a brand that believe in natural is best. All of their products are free of parabens, silicones, sulphates, petroleum products, dyes and syntheticc perfumes. All their products are cruelty free and aren’t tested on animals, they’re also suitable for vegans.
All their products are mainly aimed at “detoxing” you and your skin, something that I’m definitely interested in. I was actually allowed to pick the detox plan that I wanted to try out, something that I was extremely grateful for. It took me so long to settle on a plan as there is so many lovely plans that I nearly went for, but in the end the Facial Antiox Plan won me over.
The Antiox Facial Plan is a four step skin care routine: Clean, Purify, Antiox and Moisturise. This improves all cellular processes and combats the negative effects of pollution, UV radiation and stress. This helps you to achieve healthier looking skin. This detox pack includes Fresh Green Micellar Water (with Green Apple), Purifying Facial Tonic (with Lime), Multi-Antioxidant Concentrate Serum and Multi-Antioxidant Facial Moisturiser.
All their plans come with a little step by step guide to help you get the most out of your detox plan, however some key points are:
- Cleanses and removes make-up gently but effectively while still respecting the skin barrier.
- Aloe vera concentrate and Green Apple active water helps to detox skin and encourages Biostimulate cell regeneration
- Lime, burdock and camomile extracts freshen, purify and help to balance your skins PH
- The most powerful natural antioxidants repairs, reduces and prevents all signs of ageing
- Provides up to 115% improvement in hydration thanks to the xerophytic plant extracts and vegan hyaluronic acid.
- All these products are dermatologically tested, are non comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin
The Fresh Green Micellar Water contains natural micelles and removes all impurities and traces of make-up. I found this to be really gentle on my skin, something that most micellar waters don’t tend to do as i’ve found a lot of them can be quite harsh. It removed all my make up really well, even my black eye make up. The scent of this product is absolutely amazing, it smells so strongly of green apples but it doesn’t seem like a synthetic scent and it doesn’t put you off from using it, if anything it makes me want to use it more.
I love using any kind of mists as I find that my skin just loves the extra hydration, I use them multiple times a day too. Often when I’m just stepping out the shower to add a boost of hydration before moisturiser. The Detox Purifying Facial Tonic contains organic Aloe Vera, Burdock and Lime extracts, improving the skin’s capacity to remove toxins and I love the fact that I can use this to refresh my skin with all it’s hidden extras too.
I’ve found the Multi-Antioxidant Concentrate Serum to be one of the most difficult products to get used to, normally I use facial oils and can immediately see a difference but this is nothing like an oil, it’s quite a thick serum thats quite reddy in colour (something I wasn’t expecting). I normally gently pat this into my skin and leave it to dry down before moisturiser.
The Multi-Antioxidant Facial Moisturiser is one of the first products that I fell in love with from this detox plan, it calms redness and reduces skin stress and I honestly believe thats true and whenever I use this, it just leaves my skin looking so healthy and glowing. I love to use this at night as I’ve found it really calms my redness and I wake up with clear, bright looking skin.
All these products work really nicely together as a whole routine, they compliment each other and each step has had so much thought put into it. This could be a whole skincare routine in itself that you use regularly or for just a period of time for a detox. Each product could be used individually but work better when used together in my opinion.
I definitely think my skin is feeling and looking a lot healthier after using these products and it’s something I’d love to continue to use to continue to see the benefits.
I wanted to just mention that I am obsessed with the packaging of the products, they all come in lovely little bottles, the kind that are almost like a metal material so keep the products lovely and cool, which is definitely needed in this heat. I’ve also thought about keeping the Purifying Facial Toner in the fridge for a little cooling treat.
The pricing for the products is really good, definitely on the higher end but you get so much for your money and also excellent customer service. The plan arrived incredibly quickly too, was so lovely packaged (which you can see here) and I loved the skincare guide, it was really helpful and interesting to read and I even got stickers! I thought this was such a lovely way to personalise the products and help you with your routine.
I’d love to know what you think of these products, have you heard of this brand before? Have you ever had a skincare detox?
