An Easy Spring Make Up Look.

Or as I like to call it; make up for when you don’t feel like wearing any…. which is me pretty much all the time at the moment! Sometimes though, putting make up on makes all the difference to how you feel. It makes you feel more accomplished and ready for the day… which tends to make you more productive.

It goes without saying though if you don’t want to wear any make up then don’t. If you want to wear alll the make up then do. You do you.

I wanted to share a few products that have been allowing me to look a little bit more put together when I want. They’re very light and natural so this is a perfect spring/summer look. Gone are the days when I wear fake lashes every day… These days I prefer to look a little bit bronze, with some glow (highlighter!) and fluttery lashes.

Something that I’ve really enjoyed doing lately is tanning. I’m not sure why but the sun coming out often inspires me to get my glow on and I find I’m happier going make up free if my skin already looks more even from being tanned. My favourite tanning product at the moment is the Skinny Tan Coconut Water Tanning Mist as it looks so natural. It is also really easy to apply (apart from the fact it has no guide colour) and doesn’t go too dark. You just look really natural and glowy.

My favourite foundation base at the moment is my O’Loreal Infallible Shaping Foundation Sticks. These are so easy to sweep on for a fast base and combined with tanned skin, you look like you’e not wearing make up. I have two colours that I tend to mix to get my desired shade or I use the darker shade with a dry BeautyBlender to contour with.

I also tend to apply bronzer too even if I’m tanned as it pulls the whole look together. I am actually on the lookout for a new high-street one though if anyone has any recommendations? I’ve tried Benefit Hoola Lite which I love but I’m after something a bit more affordable.

I’ve also been using my Glossier Haloscope (Shade Moonstone) again as I find it gives the nicest glow. This used over powder products can sometimes look a bit odd, as it kind of goes muddy but I actually haven’t been using any powder at the moment. I’m coming right to the end of this product (!!) so I also tend to apply some onto my fingers first before patting it onto my cheekbones.

Finally, I have been using the O’Loreal Paris Telescopic Mascara for long, fluttery lashes. I’m not crazy about this mascara, it’s definitely not the best one I’ve ever used but it does the job, it’s nice and black and you can build up how much you put on too. I do quite like the brush on it too, but I’ll probably go for a different mascara when this runs out instead of repurchasing.

Have you worn any make up recently? What are your go-to products at the moment?
