A New Summer Skincare Haul with Elemental Herbology.

AD – This post contains PR Products.

It’s no surprise that I am obsessed with Elemental Herbology. I love their skincare (and my skin loves it too!). They’re the perfect balance of luxury skincare at a fairly affordable price. I always feel like I’m really treating my skin when I use their products… and I use a fair few! I have products from Elemental Herbology woven into each step of my routine.

I recently did another little haul from their website (For full disclosure – I get a voucher from the brand every three months to spend on their website. I am under no obligation to share anything but I do because I love the products!).

Let me tell you, I was in need of some new skincare products. My skin has been through it recently. I’m not really sure what’s changed or happened but I’ve broken out like there’s no tomorrow. That, also coupled with very dry skin has left me feeling a little overwhelmed with it all. I’ve been trying to take extra care of myself and not overuse products on my skin as I know that can make things worst but there’s no denying that breakouts can really affect your mood and confidence.

I always feel a bit down about breakouts because I’m 25, I’m not a teenager which is what bad skin is normally associated with… and then I remember how stupid that is – bad skin can affect you at any point in life. I’m also thinking it’s because of stress… there are many factors that could be contributing to it, to be honest!

So, first up, I picked up their Facial Detox Purifying Facial Mask. This is part of their Oil Control range. This is a clay-based face mask that deeply cleanses, resolves congestion and balances sebum production while also helping to soothe skin. It’s lightweight and doesn’t seem to have any fragrance (great for sensitive skin). You apply a thin layer to the skin, allowing it to dry because using warm water and a muslin cloth to remove. Typically, you’d only use this mask once a week but it does state that you can use it up to three times a week if your skin is excessively oily.

I have used this a few times now and I genuinely think it’s helping my skin. I don’t think my skin issues are coming from having oily skin but I find that this mask is great for drying out lingering spots without drying out my skin. I’d like to continue to use this mask before I give a full verdict but I’m very impressed by it so far and I think it would work really well if you did have oily skin.

Another facial product I picked up is their Cell Plumping Moisturiser. I really rate Elemental Herbology Moisturisers and I was in need of a new daytime moisturiser. I already have the Moisture Milk Facial Moisturiser which I think is a lovely product but I wanted something just a tiny bit richer. I have used this a lot over the last few weeks and I find it very hydrating. Over time it is meant to nourish dry skin while improving the skin’s natural barrier, reducing sensitivity and increasing elasticity. I think my skin is a little bit less sensitive than normal.

I thought using a moisturiser from a jar would be a bit annoying, as it’s a bit clunky but actually I don’t find it annoying. It’s a bit bunky for travelling but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it! I find a little bit goes a long way with this moisturiser so this jar is going to last me a long time!

I also picked up their Facial Glow AHA Radiance Product which sounds so good but unfortunately, I haven’t given this a go just yet. With my skin going through some issues, I’m trying to introduce products slowly and not overload my skin with lots of new things to try. I’m sure this product is gentle but it still contains an AHA so I want to be a bit careful. I will, of course, let you know how I get on with it when I use this product.

As well as skincare, I also picked up a bit different body care items during this little haul. Something that I discovered through Elemental Herbology is their Bath & Body Oils which I love. They’re a multi-purpose oil that you can apply to your skin before stepping into a hot shower or pour a bit directly into your bath. You can also use these oils to hydrate your skin after bathing.

They always leave my skin feeling amazing and they smell SO good. I have used their Soothe Bath & Body Oil before (and loved it!) so I decided to pick up their Zest Bath & body Oil this time around and it did not disappoint. It contains Orange, Rosemary and Majoram which makes it smell so lovely. It’s perfect to use in the morning for that boost of energy!

To use alongside this, I picked up their New Zest Suger Body Polish. I’ve used a few body scrubs from Elemental Herbology before and they’ve always been so lovely – I recently finished one so it was perfect timing to try their release.

Not only are these scrubs amazing at exfoliating, but they have so much hidden goodness for your skin too. Their Zest Body Polish contains Hemp Seed Oil (which helps to calm inflammation and strengthen the skin barrier), Chia Seed Oil (rich in fatty acids and vitamins) and Sweet Orange (energising and can relieve feelings of stress and anxiety).

I’ve used this body scrub a few times now, I like to use a body polish like this at least once a week to help exfoliate my body. Often, your body doesn’t get as much care taken of it when it comes to exfoliating but it can really help your skin feel softer, smoother and look better. I like to take the time to do it before a long, hot shower as a little pampering skincare treat. Their Zest Body Polish smells amazing and it always leaves my skin feeling brand new. I like that these scrubs aren’t harsh for your skin either so if you have sensitive skin, don’t be afraid of body polishes.

The last body care item I picked up was their Grapefruit & Mandarin Hand & Body wash. I haven’t tried any of their body washes in a while and I was after something that little bit more special. I thought this body wash would smell amazing which is exactly why I picked it up. There’s nothing nicer than having a really pampering shower with luxury products! You can also pop this in your bathroom just to use as a handwash too. The packaging is lovely for this and the pump is so handy.

Included in my order was a little sample of their Vital Glow Overnight Resurfacing Cream. I haven’t used this yet as I am being careful with my skin, as mentioned previously. This does, however, sound like a really lovely product. It’s a rich overnight treatment that helps to improve skin tone, texture and radiance. It contains Granactive Retinoid, AHA Complex and Plant C-Stem. All fantastic ingredients for glowing skin – I’ll be sure to share my thoughts once I’ve used this product.
