AD – This post contains gifted products.
If you’ve never heard of Luneia before then you’re missing out, they’re a new brand with a brand new launch: Their Radiance Ritual. I was lucky enough to be gifted their first product (Spoiler Alert; it’s amazing) which I had to share with you. Everything about this brand/product so far is so well thought out, from the recyclable packaging and the product, all the way down to the colours used!
You might have seen my Instagram stories where I unboxed this product and explained a little bit about it (and if you haven’t, why aren’t you following me on there?!) but the Luneia Radiance Ritual is a mini facial in a tube that you can do from the comfort of your own home. The Radiance Ritual is a combination of Glycolic Acid (10%) and Salicylic Acid (2%).
Acids are very very good and very very gentle for your skin. They are basically liquid exfoliators that brighten and smooth your surface and decongest your pores. Liquid exfoliators are actually SO much better for your skin than your typical “scrubs” which tend to just damage/tear your skin surface instead of actually making a lasting difference. I know I would be worried/feeling out of my depth when it comes to talking about acids but they really can’t that hard to get your head around. And with products like this, which make it easy to use, you can’t lose.
The Radiance Ritual also contains Hydrating Sugarcane Squalane, Prickly Pear Seed Oil, and Vitamin E to keep your skin looking smooth and feeling it’s best.
The Radiance Ritual improves dullness, uneven texture, fine lines and scarring amongst other skin concerns. It’s fragrance free and is a gel-cream like texture which you smooth over your skin and leave on for up to 15 minutes. You then remove using a muslin cloth, which is provided and feels really high qaulity.
You can use this mask twice a week if needed, but it really all depends on your skin. Personally, I would only use this once a week as I know that over exfoilating can be damaging for your skin and my skin is fairly sensitive, so I’m not sure it could handle it. However, it really all depends on you/your skin.
A patch test is of course recommended and, because it’s acid, you need to make sure you’re wearing SPF.
As a whole, this brand has really thought about sustainability and how they can create products with the least impact on the environment. The tube is made from 50% recycled bottles and reclaimed ocean plastic. The carton is created using pulp with sustainable forestry practices and printed with vegetable inks. There’s also no glue used so it’s recycable. The muslin clothe is made from 100% cotton and sustainably sourced from a responsible factory in India, which recycles 95% of its water in the production process.
I have used this mask once so far as I’ve been really trying to not overdo it with my skincare. It applied really nicely and left my skin feeling smooth. In the future I would like to keep you updated with how AHA’s (and BHA’s) have benefited/improved my skincare as I don’t think it’s the kind of product which shows results straight away (at least not for my skin) but will greatly improve my skin over a period of time.
Will you be checking out Luneia and their skincare?
