A New-In Beauty Haul.

I thought it was finally time I treated myself to some new make up as EVERYTHING has run out at the same time, which always happens to me!

I decided to do a little boots.com beauty haul as I didn’t want to go into a store and have to spend time picking out something new – so I just did some browsing and luckily there seemed to be a lot of offers online.

First up, I needed some new shampoo and conditioner as all these Tik Toks I’ve seen with people with beautiful hair has inspired me to take better care of mine. Apparently, my old choice of shampoo and conditioner (Tresemme) isn’t that great for your hair! However, I’ve heard lots of good things about this Garnier range. Mainly the Banana shampoo and conditioner but as Elliot is allergic to bananas, I thought it would be better to avoid as he doesn’t like even the smell.

So I picked up both the Garnier Ultimate Blends Plumping Hair Food Watermelon Shampoo and the conditioner. These are both formulated for Fine Hair, which isn’t especially what my hair is but I liked the “plumping” aspect as my hair can be quite weighty and I’m always looking to add volume.

I also picked up Pantene Repair & Protect Hair Mask For Damaged Hair which was such a good offer as this tub is massive. I only wash my hair once a week now, I’ve definitely trained it to last this long (even if the last few days are spent in a topknot or under a hat!) but I decided to make sure it’s healthy and hydrated too. Every week I want to pop this in for a good few hours to help hydrate my hair and by the seems of it, this tub is going to last me ages.

I haven’t actually tried any of these hair products just yet, as they only arrived on Saturday, however, I am very excited to have a massive pamper on Friday and use these new products to look after my hair.

I also picked up a couple of scrunchies which are fairly silky as I often put my hair up to sleep. These do feel a tiny bit cheap however they’re much better for putting my hair up in when sleeping instead of a normal hair tie. There was too in a pack too which was ideal.

As well as some new shampoo and conditioner, I also picked up some new make up. I haven’t bought any new make up in ages so I think a little haul was well overdue.

Firstly, I picked up a new Foundation as mine was running out. I like to have a little overlap with foundations just in case I’m not totally happy with the new one but I also like to use this time to try out a new product. My last foundation was from CYO which I was pleased with, however, I have heard good things about the L’Oreal True Match Foundation which is the foundation I decided to pick up, as I’ve been wanting to give it a go for a while.

The toughest thing about this was trying to choose a shade online! I decided to go for a called shade “Golden Ivory” in the end which is actually quite a good match for me so I’m pleased that I managed to choose a good shade online. I’ve only used this a few times so far but I’m actually quite impressed with it. It’s definitely full coverage but looks natural and adapts to your skin tone well. It’s got quite a mat finish and normally I’m a dewy foundation person but I like it so far.

I also picked up the Collection Lasting Perfection Sheer Loose Powder in the shade Banana, which has actually got a banana scent. I’m not crazy about scented products and I actually haven’t used a powder in ages as I normally don’t powder my face, I don’t tend to like a matt face but wanted something to powder under my eyes and around areas that crease. Because of the yellow tone that this powder has, it can leave a bit of colour behind but that could just be the way I was putting it on. I’m going to continue using this and update you.

The last two things I picked up were the CYO Contour Stick and another L’Oreal product, the Back to Bronze Powder. The CYO Contour stick has excellent reviews online, and I did originally want the Rimmel Insta contour stick, however, I settled on this one as they didn’t have it. I still might pick the Rimmel one up next time I see it as I love contouring come spring/summer as it adds definition to your face without being too “heavy”. This CYO Contour Stick is a good tone – not too dark and it’s also not too orange-y either. I have only used this the once so far – however, I’m very impressed, especially for the price!

The Back to Bronze Powder from L’Oreal is already a favourite of mine, it’s the perfect bronzey colour for me, not too shimmery or glittery but just gives a really lovely, warm glowy look to your skin. The packaging does feel a little bit on the flimsy side however, I’m not travelling much at the moment (lol) so this shouldn’t be a problem.

What do you think of my little haul? Have you brought anything new lately?
