AD – This post contains Gifted Products as part of an ongoing brand relationship.
You might remember from this post that I mentioned I had received some more lovely products from my favourite tanning brand, that I wanted to share with you. Skinny Tan are such a lovely company and always sending some products over to me. They recently sent me a few products from their “Face” range for me to try out.
I adore Skinny Tan products and I’m seriously loving their Coconut Water Tanning Mist at the moment, however, I never really use tanning products on my face. I instead choose to leave this bare and just use make up to match my face to my body. You’ll see a lot of people doing this as it allows your skin to breathe and not get congested. Generally, because you wash your face more than you do your body, the tan will fade quite fast anyway.
So I was really excited to receive these products that are made specifically for the face. I received their 2in1 Overnight Tan & Hydrate Mask, their Gradual Tan Daily Moisturiser (SPF 6), their Semi-Permanent Contour Serum and their Daily Superglow Highlighting Serum.
The 2in1 Overnight Tan & Hydrate Mask was the product that I was most nervous about testing as I was worried it would be quite strong and take to my skin well. However, because you only need to smooth a thin layer over your skin, the results from this product are actually quite subtle and look natural. This is probably one of my favourites products that I was sent as it’s natural, quick and easy to use as you can leave it overnight (with no washing off) and it hydrates your skin at the same time.
I’ve also used their Gradual Tan Daily Moisturiser a few times now as well and this is another product that I think works really well to add a bit of colour and glow to your face whilst giving a natural look. You can also make this product work for you and your tanning tastes, as you can either apply it every day to build up colour or just every now and then to add a bit of a glow. This is best used in the morning as it also contains SPF in it, however I’ve found that sometimes I’ll also pop it on at night to give my skin a bit of a boost.
As for the last couple of products, I think I need to continue experimenting with them and testing them out. I love the Daily Superglow Highlighting Serum for giving my skin depth and a gentle glow, however, I don’t think it lasts that long on my skin. I’ve also used the Semi-Permanent Contour Serum, another product I was worried about as I didn’t want to mess up the application but it is such a natural product that I found it didn’t show up too well on my skin.
I think I just need to get used to these products and not be too scared of applying them. I’ve definitely been enjoying using these and I think when we get towards autumn/winter I’ll be reaching for them even more, to add a healthy look to my skin!
What do you think of these products? Have you tried anything from Skinny Tan before?
