It’s no surprise that I’m a girl that likes sparkle, especially when it comes to eyeshadow. I’ve been a bit everywhere with make up lately but I wanted to give a nod towards my favourite sparkly eyeshadows as there’s nothing I like more than a bit of sparkle in my make up. There’s something about shimmer that I’m just drawn to. It’s also so versatile as you can control how much (or how little!) you apply.

I love a gentle sweep of sparkle over the lid to add a bit of interest or a more intense application to add drama to the eyes.

One of my favourite ways to add more sparkle into my make up is to smudge some eyeshadow under my eyes. This is best done with a Smoke Stick or an angled brush with a cream based eyeshadow that will dry down (as you don’t want it travelling down your face)! I love the Phase Zero Metal Foil eyeshadows for this as once they dry, they don’t budge. My favourite thing about this make up look is that it suits everyone and you can use colours that also compliment your eyes. A Little goes a long way.

The Phase Zero Coconut Water Eyeshadows are also good for sweeping across the lid, something that can be done for a dramatic look or for something softer. I also sometimes like to sweep my Glossier Haloscope across my lids to add a very subtle wet look to my eyes, it is very creamy so it can make my eyeliner transfer though but this is a good trick if you’re wearing very light make up.

A few palettes that I rate for their shadows are the Max Factor Masterpiece Nude Palette which I love, this has very light shimmer in it and it’s completely made up of nude, wearable colours which are perfect for natural eye looks and also great for travelling! It’s super wearable and it’s also the cheapest out of the lot but still such high quality. I have the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette which provides some amazing colours that are subtle but that you can also build up to be more intense. Some of my favourites include “Vermeer” and “Primavera”. I really need to try more from Anastasia Beverly Hills as this has been my favourite palette for a while now and it’s looking very battered loved.

A new discovery of mine which I came across recently (as I have a gifting relationship with them) is the Beautonomy Eyeshadow Palettes. You have total control over what shades you want in your palettes (as you build them yourself) and I have chosen a fair few of their shimmers and glitter eyeshadows for mine. Beautonomy eyeshadows are so long-lasting and super high quality and I love them for day to day wear.

Is there any sparkly eye staples that you love and would recommend?
