The Products That Helped Me Create A Proper Skincare Routine

As you might have noticed, I’ve been making a real effort to change up my skincare recently and actually pay more attention to my skin and how I look after it. After seeing these products in store a few weeks ago, I thought I’d give them a go as I couldn’t resist the packaging and I love the way that they’re aimed at people with dry/sensitive skin.

I liked the fact that I could buy the L’Oreal Paris Fine Flowers Cleansing Milk, Fine Flowers Gel Cream Wash and Fine Flowers Toner and that was a whole skincare routine in itself. I didn’t have to buy or add any other products, if that’s all I wanted to use then that was my skincare taken care of. This appeals to my lazy side v v much. The “fine flowers” that are included in this range are Rose, know for it’s smoothing and comforting properties and Jasmine, which is used for protecting and moisturising. With regular use, these products are meant to improve the look and feel of your skin, making it softer and more beautiful.

I’ve been using these products for a good few weeks now. I always find that I want to use skincare for a good while before I give any opinions on it as although products don’t tend to make me break out, you just never know how your skin is going to react to something new. These products are aimed at people with dry/sensitive skin which mine can be, it can be fairly “normal” (whatever that means!) but I can get quite sensitive around my eyes.

Generally, I take my make up off first using Micellar Water, then I’d go ahead and use the Cleansing milk to remove any make up left on my face. I find that this product is a tiny bit too harsh for my eyes, so I use the Micellar Water first to remove my make up and go in with this afterwards. It’s worth noting that I do wear quite heavy eye make up and false eyelashes daily. If I wasn’t wearing eye make up that day than this would be fine to use by itself. I first started using this product with cotton pads however I saw somewhere that people also use this just on their fingers and rinse it off afterwards which I have tried out and I think I actually prefer this way of cleansing. After my make up is all gone, I then wash my face using the Gel Cream Wash. Double cleansing is something I do a lot, because I like to wear quite a lot of make up I like to make sure my face is super clean in the evening to try to prevent as many blemishes as possible however I feel like I could always skip out the first step (the cleansing milk) and just use Micellar Water and this gel cleanser. It’s got a really nice, thick gel consistency, you really don’t need much product as a little goes a long way.

Once my face is all clean, I’ll then use the Fine Flowers Toner before¬†finishing my skin off with whatever moisturiser I want. This is a new step for me, I’ve really only just started using a toner this year however I’m really enjoying this extra step in my routine. I find that it adds another layer of moisture to my skin, something that I was missing before. What I like about these products is that I don’t just have to use them, if I want to use a different cleanser then I can, or if I don’t think I need the cleansing milk then I don’t have to use this either. Sometimes I don’t wear make up throughout the day so I’ll just tone and moisturise before bed. I think these products are really gentle and would suit someone wanting to create more of a skincare routine for themselves, much like what I’ve done. I do think that these products are gentle and would work for people with sensitive skin. My favourite out of the three would have to be the Gel Cream Wash, as I’ve not used a cleanser like this before it was good to try something new and experiment with my skincare.

Have you tried anything from the Fine Flowers range by L’Oreal before? What do you think of their products? Don’t forget that you can follow me over on Bloglovin and never miss a post!
