The Only Lipstick I’ll Ever Wear

I’ve never really been a lipstick person – this is mainly because I could never find any lipsticks the suited me. I’ve always wanted to be one of those girls that can just swipe on a red lipstick and look ultra glamorous and put together, but lipstick, especially red lipstick just does not suit me. And I always get it all over my chin.

I was okay with never wearing lipstick, I do find it a bit messy and the need to reapply it annoys me – I’m way too low maintenance for that. However not too long ago, (christmas, which is actually flipping AGES ago) I got an MDM Flow lipstick included with a Glossybox. I loved that lipstick (and still do), but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to follow the brand on instagram and some point after that, I decided to treat myself.

I ordered the shades “V Dutch” (the bright orange) and “Sweet Escape“. This is probably my favourite lipstick brand EVER. They are slightly on the pricer side however I think they are totally worth it. I don’t own many lip products so spending a tiny bit more on something I’m going to be getting a lot of wear out of is worth it. They are semi-matte lipsticks which give a nice look to the lips, I think anything super glossy or really matte just makes it obvious that you’re wearing lipstick so I like the fact that these can look quite natural. They’re not drying at all and very long lasting. They are also really pigmented – one swipe of colour and you’re good to go. A lot of brands I’ve tried, you really have to build the colour up but not with these.

I have found myself reaching for sweet escape a lot, it’s a tiny bit lighter and more delicate than “Bossy“, which I already own – it is worth buying both as they are different but both are super lovely, wearable every day shades. I actually considered ordering another “bossy”, just so I’d have a back up! I’ve been wearing V Dutch a little bit here and there, because they’re so pigmented I find this really makes a statement. I also love the packaging, it is truly unlike anything out there.

What do you think of this brand? Will you be checking out their website?
